Marilynn Brandenburger's landscape and nature paintings come from more than 20 years of hiking, sketching and taking photographs in national parks and other beautiful wild places in North America. The landscape paintings include images from the Southern Appalachians, the Gulf Coast, the Desert Southwest and the Midwest, including the shores of Lake Superior, where Marilynn returns each summer to paint.

Currently Marilynn is working on a series of landscapes called "Boundary Waters," depicting the shorelines of the northern and southern borders of the U.S. She was recently awarded a month-long artist's residency at the Ragdale Foundation in Lake Forest, Illinois, to devote uninterrrupted time to developing this series.
